TranTransport for NSW In preparing the proposal for extra car parking in Mona Vale for the B-Line Bus Service stated they: -
· Consulted with Crown Lands – This was appropriate given the land on which they propose the new car parking is on Crown Land. It is stated Crown Land had no objection to the proposal.
· Consulted with Pittwater Council – This was appropriate given that the Council has Care, Control and Management of the existing car park in Beeby Reserve witch was to be extended. It is stated Pittwater Council had no objection to the proposal.
HOWEVER Transport for NSW have admitted they DID NOT CONSULT the 3 organisations that would be most affected by the proposal before publishing in their own documents released to the public and allowing media organisations of the Manly Daily and Pittwater Life (June 2016) to also publish that the 3 organisations were happy with the proposal of demolishing their buildings as they would get a new combined 2 storey building with all three crammed into one space.
Pittwater Councillors were lead to believe that Mona Vale Guides, Mona Vale Scouts and Mona Vale Tennis were all very happy with the proposal. Well nothing could be further from the truth.
No written proposal was put forward to the 3 community organisations, no architectural plans of what their new building and their space would look like, the first they saw of anything was when Transport for NSW published a plan of the new car park and wrote that the 3 buildings would be demolished.
Well, how’s that for consultation?
The very people Transport for NSW should have consulted they didn’t.
Now it is at the point where everyone is not happy, the Scouts, Guides and Tennis not want to move out of the buildings that each of the 3 organisations actually own and the fight is on with Transport for NSW to stay the way they are now.

TRANSPORT for NSW IGNORES CORRESPONDENCE FROM THE COMMUNITY
Transport for NSW has on their website a page for " Get Involved" > "Ask a Question".
We have received an email from a Mona Vale resident that demonstrates the apparent lack of interest Transport for NSW has for the community. On 26 May 2016 the local resident took the time and trouble to do a preamble and then ask 2 questions as follows:-
The B-Line Mona Vale May 2016 Update states “The preferred option, as shown on the map, is to redesign and extend the existing at-grade car park at Kitchener Park to provide approximately 150 new commuter parking spaces”.
Question 1 - Is it not true the map shows the extra spaces are in Beeby Park (Reserve), not Kitchener Park?
Question 2 - Is it not also true there are currently about 75 existing spaces in Beeby Park (Reserve), so the B-Line stated provision of approximately 150 new parking spaces is not true, and the truth of the matter is the number of new car spaces will be approximately only 75?

Lucky the resident took a screen image at the time otherwise there would be no record of this. Well, Transport for NSW HAS NOT replied and that was over a month ago.
The question has not been put up on their website nor the answer and NO REPLY has been sent to the resident.
Well done Transport for NSW for taking a genuine interest in concerns of the community.
