MONA VALE
At Mona Vale, the program includes a new northbound and southbound bus stop and a commuter car park with up to 150 commuter car parking spaces.
The preferred options include: new northbound and southbound B-Line stops on Barrenjoey Road near Park Street and Golf Avenue, and an extension of the existing car park on the eastern side of Barrenjoey Road at Kitchener Park, providing up to 150 commuter car parking spaces.
Other infrastructure improvements in Mona Vale include a proposal to install a permanent electronic message sign at Mona Vale, which aims to improve traffic flow by providing southbound motorists with information on planned and unplanned events. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback about the proposal. More information will be provided in the coming months.
Shown above is ALL that is on the B-Line website as at 26 June 2016 for Mona Vale. Note the reference "and an extension of the existing car park on the eastern side of Barrenjoey Road at Kitchener Park" - Nothing said about putting the Guides and Scouts out of their homes of over 60 years, nothing mentioned about demolishing the Guides Hall, Scout Hall and Tennis Club. Nothing said about taking 41 current four hour car spaces used by the community and park users and giving them to the commuters for all day parking.
AND nothing said in the above about putting the proposal out for a public exhibition period so that comment can be given back to Transport for NSW opposing the demolition of the halls.
